For thousands of years we have been building up our stamina and core mobility power doing or simulating hard effort activities like running, jumping, dancing, climbing, fighting, swimming, etc. often as hard as we can to build body strength. 

 

So our strongest cardio exercises still direct most motion resistance (the muscle building force) against our knee and foot mechanical motions, leaving only a fraction trying to directly stop our core mobility muscles from swinging our hips.

If our cardio exercise opposed our hips from swinging instead of our feet from planting, almost Any Body could then massively strengthen their body cores, lower back & belly, thigh, heart and hamstring muscles, without loading, using stressing or even using their knees feet or backs.

Most fitness clubs have devices that prove average hips can lever around 10 times more then average knees. So by using foot loading activities for cardio exercise, they only allow our big body muscles to apply 10% of their potential for people with strong healthy legs.

Make that "less to nothing" for mobility disabled folks.  

Loading the resistance through the feet is why our bellies, thighs, lower backs and butts are extremely hard to deeply exercise with modern methods.

Loading body exercise through the feet is why strong body muscle and stamina exercises have never been available to the countless millions of people who actually need them the most, those too old, obese or disabled to even walk, stand or swim.
