Body Oars began as a structural engineer's quest to deeply exercise his flabby body muscles without driving the exercise forces through his knees, elbows, hands and or feet. Once his knees became too debilitated to allow powerful traditional cardio exercises, he realized this problem was not actually caused by his knees, but rather by the absence of fitness equipment engineered to bypass or reinforce our physical limitations. He knew nothing was wrong with his heart and body muscles beside several joints in between them and his feet were not working well. After pondering this combined with the principles of structural engineering he applied at work, he realized that virtually every exercise device and method humans use to greatly strengthen their core mobility muscles and hearts primarily levers our knees, not our hips. After doing some leverage tests he discovered that by trying to strengthen the body with resistance that comes up through the knees can only become exercises that works the knees at maximum effort, thus overworking the knees or feet, instead of the far stronger hips. In other words he discovered why most people, including those with mild to severe mobility debilitations have no comfortable, powerful and rapid exercise methods that allow only maximum effort to happen in the muscles that "swing" the hips. Simply because our methods overwork our far weaker knees even long before the hips reach their full motion ranger. Imagine a chain with both weak and strong links. If fully extended to load, pull or lift, then the stronger links will never be able to apply an ounce more force then the weakest can handle. So the weakest links are easily pushed to their breaking points, to still not allow the stronger to come close to theirs. From being often overstressed the weak links will rapidly deteriorate, while the strong never get the chance to be pushed (exercised) near their potential, with the weak links in the way. He realized that the mistake we often make choosing our cardio exercise is basing it on their ability to target a heart rate. Once he demonstrated that a vice (clamp) a can also target heart rates, by just smashing a hand in it. But that does not make an efficient cardio exercise method. So he began designing fitness devices too bypass or reinforce our weakest links so our strongest could be fully applied and deeply strengthened doing extremely efficient cardio exercise. The vast majority of all modern fitness devices load the strength building force, motion resistance at the hands or feet, thus allowing them to very efficient at building up the arms and legs that Body Oars bypass, so used together they will greatly enhance each other's powers. Lower Body Oars™ (LOBOS™) will not chisel the beautiful muscle definition that most other fitness devices can deeply cut, instead they prepare far more muscles, on far more people for chiseling.
